Driving, can't see because of either sun or headlights...

Mine was almost the same in both eyes. More vivid in the right, probably because I'm right eye dominant. Once I realized it was both eyes, I quickly dismissed retina, too. Thankfully, no more episodes for either my wife or me. Yet.

 

Idly interesting: I guess you can't directly photograph this phenomena. There's a few "artist's concept" illustrations, actually pretty accurate.
