EV Full charge would not go byond 8.5 miles

    The recurring theme in most of these posts is a fear that the capacity of the HV battery is deteriorating. This is a valid fear with a rather new technology and the EV range estimator is aggravating the concern.

    Drivers want to be assured that their vehicle is functioning properly and consistent performance, like MPG for a daily commute, is a common mechanism to confirm everything is working well and extraordinary service is not required.

    Exactly.

    The message dealerships send and the assumptions consumers make is where the motto came from long ago and continues to apply even now with the plug-in.

    Proper setting of expectations is always a challenge. Each industry, as well as politics, face it. All we can do is try to get the word out.
