More Than 1,000 People Want 2016 Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles

Order books for the 2016 Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel-cell car have been open to California residents since July.

Between then and now, Toyota says customer requests have exceeded the number of cars allotted to the U.S. for the first year of production.

Toyota says it has received nearly 1,900 requests for Mirai build slots so far.

However, the company only plans to import 1,000 Mirai sedans to the U.S. for the 2016 model year.

Should be very interesting to see how people like the Mirai. And additionally, how reliable the hydrogen filling stations will be. Hope we see some scenarios where 3-6+ people need to fill up at the same time.
