Fill up at 3 bars? I do mean the gas tank

    Not really. As I rambled on about previously, fuel is weight. You just aren't going to get the same fuel economy running around on full than running around closer to empty. All other factors being the same. Granted, that's a pretty weak excuse for pushing the limits, even though it is technically true.:D

    My reason? Because I can. I don't push the limits like I used to because I don't think I have the patience to try to beat my record of 713 miles on a tank. Still, anything over 500 is o.k., and over 600 is pretty sweet. :)

    I'm not likely to do these numbers that often once I get my 2012 with 17 inch rims, but I will have fun trying.:p

    Fuel is pumped through the pump right through the motor. As long as it''s pumping fuel, the pump motor is being cooled.

    Thus kills that portion of the fill up at 3 PIPs theory.

    The farthest I've gone once the flashing begins is 50miles........for a total of 615miles on a tank.
