    Does he see this problem coming: suppose he does build a thing that gets high enough to show him what's what. Then he sees it, and comes back down, and says so.

    Then he finds he's just another ignored voice that The Powers That Be must have gotten to. That can't feel good.

    We both speak in syllogisms. Informal modern style, leaving out some part of "If A then B". Perhaps hording parts for later use.

    But actually I just like to say syllogism. Over and over again...
