    Some people like the analog "look and feel" I guess. Someone actually built an app for the iPhone that mimics the rotary dial on the display, where you actually have to "dial" the number one by one like with the real thing. It even mimics the sounds. Pretty cool, unless you need to dial in a hurry! :)

    Anyhow, back to Ford:

    It's my undertstanding that instrument clusters have been digital for years, and are just rendered in analog for customer preference.
