Ford Implements Strategies to Lower Cost of Hybrids

I think it is great that Ford can sell Hybrids at no more than typical gas driven vehicle prices. I hope all the automakers can do this eventually and screw those oil companies

So it seems to me that Ford is saying, "we will do it cheaper by doing it ourselves." Are they really in a position where they can build a part cheaper than someone already making it, by making their own factory, doing their own research, develop their own expertise, etc.?

 

I suppose only time will tell. I like that they are doing it in the US. I have had no issues thus far with my Mexican Fiesta (fitting eh?) but would much rather see tech items made here.
