Ford Implements Strategies to Lower Cost of Hybrids

    I think it is great that Ford can sell Hybrids at no more than typical gas driven vehicle prices. I hope all the automakers can do this eventually and screw those oil companies :)

    So it seems to me that Ford is saying, "we will do it cheaper by doing it ourselves." Are they really in a position where they can build a part cheaper than someone already making it, by making their own factory, doing their own research, develop their own expertise, etc.?

    I suppose only time will tell. I like that they are doing it in the US. I have had no issues thus far with my Mexican Fiesta (fitting eh?) but would much rather see tech items made here.
