When I return from Info mode to Map mode on my steering wheel, the system gives me audio (e.g Continue on for 2.5 miles) on my current destination course. Is there a way to turn off this audio alert (but retain route guidance)?
The only way I've found is to turn the Nav lady off entirely. If anyone knows of another way, I'd love to hear it. I hate being on the bluetooth and flipping to the map to see where I am, but having to tell the person I'm talking to to hold on 10 seconds while Miss Navigation talks to me.

It will only repeat the spoken instructions if I press the Map button on the MFD itself. Both Denzo headunits in the 2 Chevy's I have access to behave the same way. I often find myself not flipping to INFO just because I don't want Jill chatting when I flip back to MAP. She doesn't do it when the MFD automatically toggles back from the AUDIO or any other screen, but does so if you press the MAP button. It wold be nice if that were a configurable option. Tom
One more strike against me swapping out the brain and screen from a 2007 to my 2005. But I may do it anyway to get rid of the BEEP sound every time I press a key. I hate hate hate hate that beep.
