Replaced my front speakers last night. I used a set is infinity primus pr6500cs. Instead of using the supplied crossovers I just spliced the existing wires and let the jbl amp do the work. Was a pretty easy job. I think it sounds pretty good, although it's cold as hell here and it's hard to tell what the speakers really sound like.
after driving for a while, how does it sound? how is the bass response? jbl's roll off the best (if your a bass head) low frequencies. anyone else replaced their jbl's? I was thinking of swapping the 4 ohm 7" rear woofers I had in my '04, but I'm not positive the jbl amp will be able to push them without distorting.
