I filled my girlfriend's 2007 Prius last week with gas. Today I got in the car with her and noticed she had gone 120 something miles and the gauge was still reading completely full. We got to 135 miles when 1 tick from full came off the gas gauge. Anyone else experience this? I'm assuming the gauge will tick down faster now on it's way towards empty.
welcome to priuschat! yes, the tank has an expandable bladder which causes the gauge to act goofy sometimes. no worries, we call it the 'guess gauge'. all the best!
Thanks! Yep, that was my first post. GF has had her Prius since March of 2013. It's great, and convinced me to get my car. Two weeks ago today I bought a 2011 Prius, CPO. I love it! Black with JBL sound. 51,000 miles or so. Dash tells me I'm averaging 50.4 mpg over my last 300 something miles.
