That 46.xx l is to first click of fuel pump? Was the tank already almost completely empty? What I’m trying to find is how much gas I can safely use if I put gas till first click of pump. ScanGauge 2 has never been of by more than 0,5l so if I know real size of tank I can safely run it very close to real empty.
It was, and no the tank should have had about 2 litres in it. So I was very surprised when I saw 46.xx on the readout. I suspect the pump was overdue for calibration, as that fill spiked my average consumption graph as well. So something was amiss.
Thanks for fishing out all that info, Fuzzy. All I can say is WOW! But somehow this feels like cheating. Records should be set on a measured 45 litres to be valid.
Tankanzeige – Prius Wiki here is good description of how gas gauge in non US gen2 works. It tells that there is 4…5 (4.7) liters of fuel when last pip starts blinking. here is page translated to English: https://translate.google.fi/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=fi&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.priuswiki.de%2Findex.php%3Ftitle%3DTankanzeige&edit-text=&act=url
