I have a 2007 Prius with the JBL speakers and no navigation. I heard a lot about the kenwood stereos, I am not sure if that's what I want, or should get. I need something with decent navigation accuracy and the ability to charge and play music from my iPhone. I also am wondering what I would need to do to upgrade the driver and front passenger tweeters, I already picked out the tweeters. Not sure if I need anything extra but to wire the tweeters to the new stereo, not sure if I need an amplifier for the speakers or something? I also am looking to add new sub woofers in the doors, not sure if I need an amp for those and/or the tweeter?
the tweeters should be easy: shouldn't need an amp for them. adding subs, you'll definitely want an amp. the suck JBL amp rolls off all the good lowest notes, it has a really crappy built in eq curve which can't be fixed. you will need a TATO unit to add the new better head unit, and a few other bits. I recommend crutchfield. they can tell you what all you need.
