Gen 3 Prius Dwelling/Camping - pros/cons

This is awesome. I just got back from doing a long 8.5k mile trip since summer and I hit problems when going on NPS/BLM with mine - mostly when I started to hit potholes bigger than half a foot. That said, I don't have a lift kit + under body protection + offroad wheels/tires. At what point did you start hitting limitations when compared to all the suv/pickup truck overlanders?
