I would think so. But the screams your wife made while you were taking those 90 degree corners at 120 mph more than made up for her discomfort.
True that would make her quiet quickly. I had low profile Pirelli P-Zero's with incredable grip. You can take a dry freeway ramp above 60 MPH with ease. The top speed was 157 MPH governed. I had it up to 150 MPH in California before the Arizona border. What a joy the tac was not even at the red. However today I sold my Bimmer after 7 years of ownership and unrelenting bills for service and all to make an about face and drive a Prius. Best move I ever made.
Funny, my previous cars were Buick Grand Nationals. If you're not familiar with them, in 1987 they were the fastest U.S. production car. And they were only 6 cylinders but with turbos. I still have one that I ran 9.98 @ 135 in the quarter. Full stock interior, air conditioning functional and stereo. People were amazed at a heavy 6 cylinder car running that fast. (Engine not stock of course.) Even though I still have it I don't use it anymore since I'm now spoiled with the mileage of the Priuses. I couldn't stand going back to 20 mpg. I wonder how many others came off fast cars to go to relatively slow ones? I heard this joke .... A cop pulled over a guy driving a Prius who had jackrabbited (as much as he could) from an intersection. The cop asked him what he was doing. The driver replied, "I'm drag racing." The cop raised his eyebrows and asked, "In a Prius?" The guy replied, "I don't win too many."
