<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(nerfer @ Dec 20 2006, 01:02 AM) </div> It really is my license plate. In the DMVs defense, some people understand both it and the double entrendre. A lot, however, ask "What's kissgus?" When I say "It's kick gas," they say, "Whatddya mean?" Loses the value of the plate!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(livelychick @ Dec 20 2006, 06:18 AM) </div> It would make more sense to put that plate on an EV. The Prius uses less gas, but it's still addicted.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mike_m @ Dec 17 2006, 03:11 PM) </div> I am an aged hippie the character Froley in the movie Children of Men, played by michael caine is basically me. Froley
My favorite character and hero, Boo Radley, from my favorite book, To Kill A Mockingbird. The avatar is of Boo Radley, as played by Robert Duvall in his first movie role.
Once upon a time, long, long ago, I wrote a novel... ...and years later, my nom de plume became my screen name Oh, don't bother, btw... it was never published.
My first name is Donald and I play piano. A musical note is D Sharp. "Sharp" is also a compliment, so it sounds cool with "D". When I had to come up with a variation for user names, etc., I added 88 because there are 88 keys on a piano. When I first told my wife, Grace, that I thought a good license plate for me would be D SHARP, she asked what she should get. I suggested G FLAT might be appropriate.
My mum n dad gave me a name, I just took the gap out. Well it's shortened a little and my middle name, James is having a little holiday. Patrick Sparks becomes Pat Sparks becomes patsparks. I need an imagination. My car is called the Prius too.
I've used mine as a nom de cyber for nearly 30 years. I chose it in tribute to my two favourite philosophers: Renee Descartes & Theodore Suess Geisel [attachmentid=11192] .......[attachmentid=11191] [attachmentid=11193] Cogito Ergo Sam
Simple. It's my last name. On the Lexus SUV hybrid forrum, someone else's got my name ... so, when I'm over there typing away, I'm, "someone else's got my name".
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mike_m @ Dec 17 2006, 05:11 PM) </div> I suppose mine should be rather obvious, too, if you just look at it. I believe there are some things whose value or existence are so obvious and fundamental we really don't need to or Kan't (apologies to Immanuel) look to scientific analysis or pure reason to establish their existence. The fact that a certain car also has chosen a name signifying it belongs with other First Things just made the choice of a priori rather obvious to me. Do we really need to spend time arguing about the value of cars that pollute less and use less of a limited resource? Are we somehow worse off by conserving energy and breating cleaner air? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(samiam @ Sep 6 2007, 07:33 PM) </div> Of course, the more I think about it, the clearer it is there is no more appropriate name. Because it took 203 days to get mine. Then when it came it instantly became the wife's commute car . . . so I kept the screen name as it is still appropriate. And just in case anyone forgets . . . it's written down below too.
I made up my original Priusguy04 for the make, Im male & the year of the car. And now with kudos to Galaxee for comming up with this one. As I have changed cars...
Mine is far less creative, first initial and first 7 letters of my last name, some of the systems I log into require an 8 char. ID, sooo to kep things simple...
