First of all I don't need to justify how I spend My money to you. I would also like to clarify this. I have a GM card with $3,500 to spend on a GM car. I also get mailings from GM adding 1,000 to 2,000 as an additional bonus to buy another GM car. So I can get an additional $4,500 to $6,500 off on lets say a Buick. I would rather pay sticker for a Prius than a heavily discounted Buick. Why? Remember I worked at a GM dealership and got to know the product very well. Its because you end up paying more with the rapid depreciation and repairs for a sub quality product. It's not all about the savings in gas.
Found it? Heck, I have it bookmarked and in PDF. If you would like to know what was really going on in the 1990s with GM, Ford and Chrysler and the development of high-efficiency vehicles, read this article by Sam Roe of the Chicago Tribune: http://www.chicagopriusgroup.com/resources/SuperCar.pdf Distributed with expressed written (and verbal) permission from the author.
Nope, it doesn't use links to build the side-by-side comnparison, so the only link goes to the base page. Of the four MY-2011 configurations I selected (there are more), only one has any user report at all. But the numbers I copied are the EPA ratings, which should be displayed above the user reports.
