I need to get behind my factory radio to install a Soundgate TOYZN4 and I would like to not have to take my entire dash apart. Is it possible to get behind the factory radio and get to the connectors easily?
Well you could take the other route ..... Remove the Glove Box, and unbolt the huge white connector that is located there, GENTLY, there are MANY wires in this connector, you screw one up.....ouch! If your hands are small, you can poke you hand in there and feel the back of the radio. Read the following document to see the procedure.. http://priuschat.com/forums/attachm...-into-2008-2007-prius-sirius-instructions.pdf It actually is easier to pop the 6 plastic pieces out, and then pull the radio forward to do your plugging in / out! I have done it 4 times now, and I am amazed how easy it is.
