I hear inventory levels are low and what not - but even when I traded my 2005 Prius for my new 2008 model back in March, they was already a seriously low availability of the Prius with Option #2 - plenty in stock with option #6. He tried to foist option #6 on me. but after saying "no" twice he my salesman took the time to research it and got me option #2 from another dealership in NJ. My salesman (who also sold me my 2005 model with option #2 - but with a lot less than the 2008 option #2) told me option #6 is more popular since a lot of people want the GPS. I do not know... I wanted option #2 and told him that's what I wanted to trade my 2005 in for and nothing more. One of the more pleasant salesperson I've ever dealt with. I went back recently, and there's a waiting list with only like two in inventory - both Option 6. Crazy... So yeah - option #2 - seems like Toyo is trying to push something on us. I am going to get cranky if I gotta go through another wait if I decide to trade in for a 2010 or 2011 and they want to gimme a "super fully loaded" vehicle over a regular "fully loaded" vehicle. Really - I don't need a 12 speaker system that will make me go deaf (although I suppose it would solve the running too silent for deaf people to hear problem), a gps that would distract me and probably cause an accident, a 6 cd changer when I can just use 1 cd with mp3 songs that'll last for a couple hrs... I just want to drive in mild comfort and get to point B!!!!
I guess Texans love their Prius! You literally can not stumble upon a Prius here that doesnt have an owner.
