    Same thing happened to the Luddites. There loads of examples. Live moves on and new opportunities arise. There are tremendous opportunities out there. It all depends on how you choose to look at it: Crisis vs Opportunity.

    I don't conserve much. I even asked for multiple bags yesterday at Whole Foods.

    It's true. I don't conserve and I wasn't going to let them put my fish in with my vegtables.

    I don't recycle either.

    Actually, we need a whole lot more to survive.

    Food requires fertilizers, chemicals, energy, deep knowledge of biology, transportation, distribution, freezing, heating, packaging, etc. Shelter and clothing of course require their own infrastructure and knowledge.

    So an individual only needs the end products. Our entire society needs every single element of all this infrastructure.
