Correct, in a car driven primarily by my wife she would prefer headlights that stay on for 120 seconds after exiting the car, grabbing the door handle only unlocks THAT door, and two presses of the fob to open all doors. I prefer 0 seconds of headlights after I open the door, grabbing a door handle opens all doors and one press opens all doors. Personal preference is allowed in the Prius, it is a shame we cannot always set it ourselves.
This makes me MAD not sad. I drove my 2004 Prius for almost 9 years and it had that feature. Can't believe they took it away - Grrrrrrrr!
It's a lot more hassle than just a few steps if your arms are full of groceries. you have to unlock drivers door, reach into the unlock button and then to the back to open the hatch. I know it sounds trivial if you hadn't been really used to doing it for 9 years with my (not upgraded) 2004 Prius!
I've learned to reach in my pocket and stab the second button up the fob. After a few months it is instinctive. More than one hand full I always have the cart or rest the box on the bumper to free a hand.
My keys are often buried in my purse! I just did the 2 button reset and it works! thanks for the tip. Wonder why Toyota doesn't tell us about that?
