Getting the scoop is the big deal, always has been. A likely complication here was the use of shared private transportation. To be properly fair, the next-of-kin of everyone killed in the incident need to be notified before the deaths of any are announced to the public.
i agree with morals, ethics and unwritten codes, but most have gone out the window. some perhaps because of entities such as tmz. this is not the first time i'vs seen them get the scoop, and some have been real news stories.
TMZ gets very quick scoops on many celebrity deaths. Ethics and respect for survivors be damned. One story this week listed many, but I'm remembering only Michael Jackson and Prince.
looks like weather was the issue, but perhaps too early to know. still, you have to wonder why an experienced pilot would fly when everyone else was grounded.
