It's going to take alot more than photos and "enjoying" yet another protest that's spinning its wheels and stuck in the mud to bring down the kleptocratic theft of democracy and basic economic viability that is bringing a very obvious and clear end to the existence of the United States of America.
I also saw a non-FOX news story on it. Foreign cartel(s) offering $5-10k for kidnapping of regular personnel, and $50k hit offer only for top officials. But is this "offer" from an actual credible actor? Or just from some random dude mouthing off without any credibility or resources? Or something in between? The current Administration has very little credibility right now, with plenty of severe exaggerations and outright falsehoods without providing any evidence to allow independent review. E.g. the Administration is claiming a 1000% increase in assaults on ICE officers this year, but refuses to provide any evidence, and journalists combing through court records were able to find only a 25% increase in charges filed for this offense.
You can stand up to GOOD hard working people but I can speak from experience that it is not that difficult to immigrate here legally, without breaking the laws of the country. Those who violate the laws are not considered good, IMO. It really is a LEGAL issue, not a political one.
Except this thread is about enforcing US law, not about US politics. Without laws, there IS no civilization.
Other sources indicate that, absent marriage, close family connections, or standing job offers for special skills, legal immigration quotas are very limited. Based on numbers, it appears the easiest and most certain legal way to immigrate into the U.S. is to marry your way in.
OR have a big chunk of money to buy a franchise. Business owners that hire x amount of people also gets fast tracked or be a white south African..
Until Fred's House of Pancakes explicitly bans political/legal discussions and the moderator enforces that ban I/we will continue to defend "our friend" our 1st amendment rights by exercising them in this forum. If someone is too fragile to handle that, it's not my problem.
I can "handle" it (you oughta know that by now), so climb down off that horse? When Bob started this thread, not sure what he was thinking, but c'mon, if this doesn't belong in the political sub-forum, what the heck does?
Gotta agree with the man from BC (Mendel). I gotta a lot of people on ignore...wonder if we can get an ignore posts button;>
Indeed, I remembered that when I saw that essentially all the fact claims in the ABC article credited DHS as the source.
The political sub-forum was created as a response to a very specific moment in time when there were too many political posts according to some overly sensitive people that don't care about our right to free speech. And not only is that forum unlisted on the forums page, but how would you even find that page, let alone susbscribe to it? In other words, if this thread gets moved to that forum, no one will get notification nor see it again. It will, in effect, silence the free speech rights that Fred's House of Pancakes was originally established for.
Never mind what the FHOPancakes description says, there is no First Amendment "right to free speech" on someone else's privately owned forum. The owner gets to set the rules. The 1A "right" is about speaking out in public places, and in making your own forum (e.g. newspaper, books, etc.), free from government interference. It is listed and linked right here on the Forums page: When I first came here, access to FHoPol was available only by asking a moderator to be allowed into the sandbox. I joined briefly, after some threads I was participating were move there, then backed out and had them turn my permission off. Access was made wide open only years later, seemingly sometime after Danny was no longer regularly participating in discussions here.
When I went to school in Canada, we learned the difference between law enforcement & politics. They are not the same! That was before Justin took over Canada though. (The preceding sentence WAS political.)
House of politics does not show up if you are not member of the politic forum. If you are not a member of the political forum, nothing shows up about it except for Danny's long post about it. And there is no link to it in his post. Or, maybe you have to be the right gender. Only open to seegar chomping bourbon swilling males? kris
I spend a surprising amount of time wondering just what other people think the word 'politics' means.
freds fhopol posts show up in 'new posts' for me. i never signed up, don't drink bourbon, but do like bob seegar
