They are deporting and detaining those illegally in the country whether by overstaying a visa, lying on asylum applications, or just skirting the legal avenues altogether. As a legal immigrant and naturalized citizen, these illegal aliens being called migrants slanders the law abiding people.
They are also detaining and deporting 'illegals' who are illegal only because of the glacially slow bureaucracy handling their cases and applications and renewals overrunning deadlines. Numerous others were legal up until a few minutes before they were detained, when DHS's internal courts revoked their legal status without warning (and often without cause), in places where ICE agents could immediately grab them. Some were even detained first, then legal status revoked after without legitimate reason.
Thats a lie and you know it... They're literally lying in wait for people lawfully in the country to check in at immigration to maintain their lawful stay in the country and get rounded up and deported to make private jailers in the US wealthy while incicting hateful racists under false pretense. There's tens of thousands of people who have lawfully been in the country for decades being deported. What's worse they're so unconscionable in their actions that hundreds of US citizens have been unlawfully trapped in their facilities. What's more, they claim they're getting rid of "violent criminals" when 80% of everyone they've unlawfully rounded up haven't been convicted of a single crime, not even a petty crime. The entire operation is based on corruption and lies! They're also attacking and deporting tourists who support our economy in tourist towns, which are now going broke, just like the farmers who depended on selling their crop overseas before the trade war. And you're gullible enough to claim that this is good for our country?
ICE is so desperate to boost its deportation statistics that it even trying to deport a woman extradited to the U.S. by another branch of government to face criminal smuggling charges. The DOJ spent a year trying to bring her into this country against her will, to face trial, finally getting her last month. Now ICE is trying to deport her before the trial. Feds bring woman to U.S. to face charges, then say she’s here illegally A federal magistrate judge called the situation “Kafkaesque” at a hearing in U.S. District Court in D.C. on Monday, and said in a written order that Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s push to increase deportations on orders from President Donald Trump appeared to be wreaking havoc on a complex international prosecution that had been tied up for a year in extradition proceedings. “Indeed, it is both preposterous and offensive for the government to bring someone into the United States against their will and then turn around and seek ICE detention because that person is here ‘illegally,’ ” U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia M. Faruqui said in the written order. “The government needs to decide what its priorities are: ginning up deportation stats or prosecuting alleged criminals.”
While reading the WHOLE ARTICLE - one can't help but notice the wording; Doesn't the word 'could' in this instance mean that feds could prosecute - or they could deport her? so since they could prosecute her - doesn't that mean it wouldn't necessarily have anything to do about deportation desperation? Maybe the drama here is due to thinking too much about Korean barbers
"But the case could fall apart because the defendant, Yana Leonova, is now at risk of being deported before going to trial." What would be the point of going through the work and expense of investigating her smuggling ring, filing criminal charges, having France arrest her, spend most of the year getting her extradited here for trial, then have a different arm of government deport her before the trial? Isn't that a prime example of "waste, fraud, and abuse"? If released, she will return to Russia or Belarus where we don't have extradition treaties. “I haven’t been in this predicament before, your honor,” prosecutor John Borchert said at the hearing. “Me, either,” [judge] Faruqui replied. This is truly “Kafkaesque".
Due process has been constipated for decades. I've tried for years to help a Chinese physician who has been imprisoned for murder of her adopted Chinese daughter (that she didn't do) for over 1½ decades. The jurisdiction that put her away is like many in other states. From a close friend still working in the public defender's office of another state - it's obvious these criminal behaviors goes on in many states. So glad to be retired.
karoline levitt must have pulled some strings to get her former sil released. it was bad press mother-karoline-leavitts-nephew-released-ice-custody-rcna248089
I'm fairly sure that Leavitt didn't have to pull any strings. The appointed functionaries hired by this administration know exactly what the personal loyalty requirements are to keep their jobs, and will do it automatically before anything comes down the chain of command. A cynic might say these strings were self-pulling. It is very revealing that "she was released on a $1,500 bond, the lowest amount permitted under immigration law," when most ordinary (without high connections) detainees aren't even allowed a bond hearing in the first place.
The local Walmart replaced the failing Subway sandwich shop with 'Pita Mediterranean Street Food'. Ours is run by a family of central Asians, four that I counted. So in a loud voice easily heard in their area as I was leaving: "It was a great meal and well prepared. I am so glad you chose to come to this country and bring your hard work and excellent skills." Welcome immigrants loudly in public with praise for their wise choice of our country, hard work, and skills. Bob Wilson
This is why I oppose capital punishment except in cases of repeaters and the killing of staff while confined. Even so, there are forms of incarceration that are functionally the equivalent of death. Bob Wilson
Kind of like when the courts practically let Hunter Biden off scott free? Double standard judicial system? Gee who would have thunk
Many were already ruled to be deported so they received due process but the left want due process all over again. BTW, anyone living in the country illegally is a criminal, breaking federal law.
As long as they are not like 80% of the Somalis in Minnesota, receiving federal benefits. As a legal immigrant and naturalized citizen, I worked hard most all my life before I retired a year ago. Tt CAN be done, During one severe employment shortage, I did get food stamps, but that was one brief period in over 40 years.
i actually misremembered. It is 89% of Somali households with children. https://cis.org/Report/Somali-Immigrants-Minnesota
Source for them providing warrants for these people. Cause I doubt that was the case with Hispanic ICE agent they grabbed, nor US citizens carrying everyday forms of ID. They are grabbing people at their immigration hearings. That means they are here legally. First time unlawful entry is a misdemeanor.
