Long Wait Lists/Dealer's Charging a Premium?

    I filled out a sheet for being on the list for a 2010 Prius. Sunnyvale Toyota said they will collect deposits for those on the list after they know the specifics about the 2010.
    I'll bet the worst time to try for a 2010 will be when first coming out (July or whenever they arrive).I'd rather target purchase in the dead of Winter, right after everyone is spent from Christmas and looking towards paying taxes, not buying a car ... January, February 2010.

    Still, it's all about supply and demand.
