Mountain Bike Recommendations?

I was always amazed I could cut a minute off my circuit by losing 10 oz of rotating weight while I was carrying a 10lb spare tire around my middle (non-rotating).

Reminds me of a theorem: all bikes weight 30 lbs; the lighter the bike, the heavier the locks needed to keep it.
