NOTE: I've added a picture to help anyone who has trouble visualizing where the DICE connectory goes. I have an '06 with NAV and JBL (6 CD changer). I installed my DICE (A00004) version today. The only installation problem I had was the plug really wouldn't go fully into the back of the head unit. It never clicked or fully seated (to my satisfaction). I must say it's a pain getting your hand back there and harder to get leverage to seat the plug. I first tried CDC mode: 1 OFF 2 OFF and I couldn't get song text to appear. I changed to MP3 mode: 1 ON 2 OFF and I got song text to appear. Anyone else share this experience with the later firmware version? I have a video 30GB IPOD with 1.2.1 s/w. [Below has been updated since originally posted] Also, if anyone uses podcasts, they luckily show up as "Albums" in ITunes so hitting #3 will let you navigate them. Thanks --WJP
Good to read your post... I installed a new dice in my 04 and don't have songs appearing. The songs worked once (I am now stuck with it reading a song I played a couple of weeks ago!), but then quit. It plays the ipod, but no songs and no controls. I had not tried changing to mp3 mode yet. but that is what the Dice people suggested. I'll make the effort and try now. Pete
