I just bought an '05 Prius, Package 3 with the optional 6-CD changer. I'd like to add an aftermarket NAV System that uses the existing touch screen. I kinda doubt that this can be done, but I thought I'd ask the forum. Also, anyone know if the dealer can add the Toyota NAV system or does this have to done at the factory? Salesperson wasn't really sure but she thought it could NOT be done. I would think they're always up for more $$. Noot
[font=Comic Sans MS:f93d652ceb]Congratulations on your new Prius! arty: I think you're out of luck mating an after-market Nav system to the touch screen. But the Tom Tom unit where John Cleese periodicaly asks you, "Do you know where you're going?" might be fun. I'm sure your Package three could be remanufacturerd into a Package six if you threw enough money at it. But certainly not for less than the price difference between the packages.[/font:f93d652ceb]
Yeah, that's what I thought. The Tom-Tom gets great reviews. Not a big deal but wishful thinking. Thanks for your reply! Noot
"But the Tom Tom unit where John Cleese periodicaly asks you, "Do you know where you're going?" might be fun. " It would be cool if we could make such modifications to the DVD. It certainly is technically possible.
