Hi. I am looking for navigation for the Caucasus countries for my 2008 Toyota Prius. I got the car from US and it has a navigation map for US and Canada. I did a little research on how to get navigation for Caucasus (I am from Georgia myself), but could not find anything useful. Can anyone help me with this?
In the US, the updates come from the Toyota dealer. If the Toyota dealers in your country do not have the Prius, the map you need is likely not available from Toyota.
it's definitely a dealer issue. if they can't help, you're sool. toy nav is proprietary. do you have garmin or such?
You could check on the European Toyota Technical site* to see what is available. What you are after is the 4 DVD set of Europe maps (None of the download map file options will work). From my memory, I'm not sure how detailed the maps go for Eastern Europe but if you country is listed it will be fully detailed. You could also try eBay for people selling their old copies, obviously these will not be the latest version. Be also aware of bootleg copies, ensure you are receiving genuine Toyota issue DVDs. Burnt copies tend not to work. * Click on the Owners tab, then select Map Updates. You will need to create a free account to access this.
Definitely check European eBay. It cost about £140 for a set of European maps 3 of which I will never use so I just sold them on eBay. They went for about £40 each. Eastern Europe was included but I don't remember seeing Georgia. Having said that many countries are included but just have the main roads with no POIs etc But I use Waze for navigation now. Just download the map for free before you leave Nexus 6 ?
