ok, so I'm planning on getting the ClarionDVD player in my prius soon. Problem is, i have an 06 so heres my question: 1) if i plug in the dvd player to the red, yellow and white cords and put it in place, when i do the cord cutting trick, will it replace coastal tech's lockpick 3 so that i will be able to use the dvd player while in motion and enter destinations? 2)Would it work if i bought a new navigation dvd and used the service menu trick to override the navigation lock-out? 3) and the last question.. if i do cut the purple wires, how to i attach them to the switch so i can turn it on and off? this is so frustratingg!
Unfortunately, the menu override only works on older version DVD's for the 2004-2005 Prius. The 2006+ have never had a menu override option. I don't think anyone ever was even able to make a hybrid DVD from the ones that do have the menu override, they're just too different and won't work.
