Hello everyone. I recently replaced my stock radio on my 05 Prius to a touch screen pioneer and few days later i realized that everytime i have my headlights or park lights ON i cannot regulate my MFD. "Check the connection of air conditioner" message would come up, i cant regulate anything on climate screen also the MPG screens dont show any movement. The display is on and dimmed correctly when headlights are on just cant regulate anything on it. The car also drives normal and the radio that was replaced works fine. When i turn OFF head lights, after about 1 min everything goes back to normal on screen, or to not wait the minute i would just turn off car then turn it back on the MFD would also work fine then. Only when my headlights are on nothing works on MFD. If anyone ever had this problem and was able to fix it please let me know what could i do. It sucks to have to turn off headlights and or turn off car for example like at traffic lights at night or having to stop at night during like rain or cold weather just to adjust temp air flow or defroster because i cant see nothing, cant turn off headlights while driving and cant regulate climate. You need to contact Pioneer technical support. The new head unit you got may not be 100% compatible with your car. OR.....hopefully this will be a problem known to Pioneer and they will have a fix.
