Just picked up mine last night... did you get the deal from HSN when it aired? Hope so.. For people that don't know if you buy a new hybrid between like 12 days ago and Jan 7th you can get $1000 gas card from HSN, or a gift card to use on HSN, whatever I want the gas lol. Btw you have until April 13th to but the new Avalon Hybrid and qualify. If you didn't get in on it, start craigslist adds looking for one of the packets. They were free to order so many people ordered them because they came with a free coffee mug etc.
Yes the vouchers can be given to anyone, on the show they actually said you could give them to family and friends you know who purchase one. They just can only be used once, but many people probably ordered them just for the free coffee mug. And honestly you could sell them to people for say $500 easy since they are worth $1000 so I am sure people ordered extras.
The packets haven't shipped yet, but I when I called the customer support before ordering my car HSN just told me to hold onto all my paperwork from the purchase of the car and wait for the packets which are slated to ship late november. You will need a copy of the order summary from HSN, which they ship an order summary separate for each one of these ordered and the certificate, anything beyond that I will not know until I have my packet in hand. But HSN did confirm if you bought it after 10-7 and before 1-7-2013 your purchase would qualify. Sorry I cannot give more information at this time.
I cannot confirm that, by the time I was notified about the deal and ordered mine over 52,000 had already been ordered. Maybe the initial batch shipped, but that seems unlikely. I just checked mine and it still says: On Backorder Sunday, October 07, 2012 Estimated Delivery 11/23/2012 12:00:00 AM And I stand corrected, sorry I forgot the date, it was Sunday the 7th it aired not the 5th. I edited my original dates above.
