New Buyer/New User - I'm Wary and Cautious...

Wow, she does not look like a 13-year old car...congrats!

A tip about Toyota's....they do like to develop stinky air conditioners, especially if you live in a humid place (I see you are in humidity-capital, Florida!)

A great tip I learned from The Car Care Nut (who you should follow on YouTube) is to turn off the A/C compressor when you are about 10-minutes from stopping driving for the day and putting blower on maximum....this will help dry out the innards of the air conditioning system and help prevent the stinky stuff (mold and mildew) I hate that smell with a passion but we've done this for years and never had a stinky Toyota. (Except when my daughter spilled a bottle of vinegar in the back...but that's another story)

Also, our Infotainment systems are notorious for having issues. If yours starts acting up (rebooting for no reason, dropping phone calls) just go into the settings and remove all stored phones and then re-add them...this seems to work pretty well with bugs in there.

 

One reason, mold issues aside, it’s modestly detrimental to miles per gallon. Too, I prefer an ounce of prevention to a pound of cure.

 

If you lived in one of the hot and humid areas of the US you would sing a different tune.

 

I don't doubt it.
