I just stopped at my dealer and saw their latest allocation of Pri. There was 1 Pri IV with SR but was sold from their waitlist. I was able to see the WinterGrey (love it) and saw 2 Blue Ribbon (absolutely gorgeous!) and the Sandy beach. All of them had SOLD signs and they received them yesterday. He stated the next allocation has NO Pri IV with SR. :frown: So I patiently wait, and wait, and wait....
The Sandy Beach was up here. Wanted to take it for a drive but now it's gone. Chatted with those guys Sunday I think. Not sure how the ATP would work here, requires lines painted on both sides of the road or lane. Not the WV way of marking pavement. Wonder which road? 73, 119? Only the silver III one left here. So your about to have a yard sale?
So the Blue one had ATP? Not only do we not have lines all the time but sometimes those lines are not in the right place. Wonder what the car would do if the lines curved off a road way in a straight segment of road? I'd go talk to them and look at the cars but I imagine that are already gone. Kip did sound excited when he called. He thinks I'm realllllly going to be glad I waited on the V
I had to wait a couple of ships for the Blizzard V. I think the wait will be worth it. Looks like you're waiting on one of the more scarce packages.
Well hopefully about this time next week I may be grinning ear to ear! I need to be finding a nice place to take pictures.
Hello to all! I have been "observing" for quite awhile now. This is my first post. I am awaiting my Prius III in Silver with Dark Gray interior. It is on this ship and I am glad to see that it made it to port! I have never been so excited to get a car before. The D-ETA was showing July 13, but I'm hoping it will arrive sooner! Uggh, this is torture!!!!!!
Since they are either unloading them now or perhaps did it last night / early morning, I would think it will beat the 13th by a large margin. I originally expected mine just after the 4th weekend but my dealer thinks it may make it in before after seening how his other orders have been shipped on the last three ships.
Hi and :welcome: to the party. I have never had to wait for a car to come in. I've always walked into the dealership and basically drove away with my new car. The notion of tracking the ship it comes in on is hilarious to me. But it IS exciting. New Century 1 is still berthed in Newark carefully unloading its precious cargo. Please take photos of your new car to share with us!!
Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope it gets here soon. I only had to wait for a car once and I didn't mind because I was going on vacation. So it was no big deal. Besides it gave me something to look forward to since coming home from vacation stinks. This by far is the worst, though. Maybe it's because I have never had anything like it before. Or maybe it's because I'm driving a 1998 Avalon. It's a nice car and all, but I just filled up to the tune of $40.00. . Definately looking forward to fewer trips to the pump. I will take pictures and I can't wait to see yours too! I am thinking it will be here before the 13th as well. I have to admit I laughed when I saw the ship tracking thing and thought it was silly, but I confess, I became obsessed! Now if only we could track our individual cars........
LOL, I thought these geeks had lost it but after changing my mind a couple of times, I've had to track three ships and it's become entertaining.
Loved visiting Gloucester, MA and the coast a few years back. You'll need to get a picture in front of the statue, or at least a light house.
My dealer called me to say they are going to trade a Pri IV with/SR option for 2 of their Pri IIs with a dealership in PA. He made it sound as if it was a big sacrifice on their part - 2 Pri for 1. I have to go in at 4 with my trade in and to get the paperwork started. What can I expect? This ship just docked so I assume the trade is happening even before the cars get to the dealers but he indicated that they had to go to Pennsylvania to get the car. Does this sound right since this ship is unloading cars?
Actually I'm about 25 miles north of Baltimore north of Bel Air. Not really rural, I guess, but a small town. My dealer has been getting cars, but only II's and III's. I really want a IV (with NAV in one of 4 colors) because I think the flexibility of the seats with lumbar will be important over the next few years (I'm 61). Rich N.
I'd say you found a great dealer. Yeah he may mess with you on the deal, but he's giving up 2 vehicles he can sell for one sales to you. Not only that I can't believe the other dealership has a IV w/ SR that hasnot been presold. Then again he's going to make profit on 2 cars and it's all about the money.
LOL, last time I was in Baltimore I was about that far out and still on the beltway. Your suburbs are bigger than my cities. Greater Baltimiore probably has more people than the entire state of WV.
Shame on you. I saw the new unread posting and with a big smile on my face, I clicked the link anticipated seeing a yes
