Those topics appear in the 2011 manual too, except all those page numbers are higher, by two. However, as dorunron said, "You might be confusing the EV Mode and EV Indicator on the HSI Display. There is a difference." My pages 170-172 (your pages 168-170?) are about the former. The latter indicator is the one that evidently first appeared on 2012 models. Too bad they gave it a confusingly similar and inaccurate name.
