I was intrigued by this entire thread last night and all of today as I've always wondered where the HV battery heat exhaust exits. A few weeks ago I thought it exited out the vent equalizer (either left or right) behind and above the rear wheels. You can feel air rushing out of the vent equalizers when the heating/cooling is turned way up and and the non-recirculation is off. Once I turned the recirculation on the air ceased to exit which left me perplexed. Last night I came across this thread and I knew I could test it....where does the HV battery heat actually exit? Got my trusty dance club smoke machine out, set my ScanGaugeII to maximum HV fan setting of 6, opened the rear hatch, and blasted fake smoke into the HV battery air intake. Where did it exit? It came gushing out the hatch vent on the right, the rear suspension bolt cover on the right, and to my surprise out from the right rear passenger seat split/fold hinge where it meets the door! As I think about this I am confused as to why the engineers wanted the warm/hot battery exhaust to be vented in the cabin. I can definitely see the benefits in the colder climates including winter time, but it seems strange that in the heat of summer the air conditioner is in a constant battle against battery heat. I'll admit it, I'm not a qualified engineer nor have the rigorous testing results to back up my humble opinion but it still baffles me. Aside from unwanted road noise what could be other reasons to not direct the heat outside?

It should be ready to go. If you are seriously interested please email them. If you are interested and in the New England area you can contact me if you would like to sample the system.

The audio system is awesome. If you can get the sub do it, it is well worth it. I have heard it with and without. With is the way to go.

So is the final version ready? What did they do to fix the vent issue on the sub enclosure?

Just about they say!! Talking with OEM they put a slot at the top of the box where the vent is so it will vent freely. As soon as Daniel gets back with me I will post all the up to date information. He is currently working on it. Looking forward to this system.

Here is what the enclosure will look like. I have had it in my car for a while and so issues at all. The sound these speakers produce are just as advertised.

I didn't get a chance to measure it. I think it might be a 10"

Here is what came to my attention during a curt trailer wire installation.

The battery duct vents right behind the passenger rear seat bottom. Right behind the 12v battery.

It makes it way with no duct after this point from any exit or crevice. The main one being that vent.

It just flows around the inner fender shock tower towards the vent.

If you remove the shock tower cover in that corner. You get more airflow.

I noticed my batter fan was coming on very high after the install of the trailer wiring. In that panel were the exhaust vent was I just found 1 wire in the path of the vent so I zip tied it all the way to the edge were the factory runs there wiring.

This seem to clear it but was that all it took to obstruct the flow?

I watching battery temps now and they are low with the shock tower cover off.

If there was a small tiny low volt fan in place were the exhaust vent is I think it would help a lot to guide some heat out.

Make sure you have a Scan Gauge and check your temps to see whats going. If you hear the cooling fan kick in to high then something is wrong.
