<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(erinishuman\";p=\"45448)</div> Hey Erin, this will not affect your situation, but perhaps for the next Prius so inconvenienced. On the 2001-2003 Prius, the HV battery can be completely disconnected by pulling out the orange service plug in the trunk. There is a similar device in the 2004-2005, but I am not familiar with it. In other words, simply disconnecting and reconnecting the HV should have not cost this, in terms of money, time, and transfers. There is a possibility that they were actually charging the HV battery with the special Toyota charger, in which case one would expect to pay some $$. Earlier replies to your message focus on insurance. If I got this point wrong, we will see the corrections pouring in soon. Good luck "playing in traffic" DAS
