Siouxnami: Yes it's normal. Cold weather is killer on the MPGs. Expect to see low-mid 40's on a nice warm day if you drive with a heavy foot. After you've driven a while without paying attention to the MPGs, you'll be happier. After you've had some time alone with the car and you start to get used to each other, there are lots of tips around here to help you improve fuel economy.
