No it wouldn't. After living on this planet for 70 years, I am just now realizing how INCREDIBLY stupid people really ARE. And how MANY of them there are. It might reduce the opposition a little.
@Trollbait makes an interesting point. Has tidal amplitude increased in places where it was already large? I do not know.
Good news / bad news story: Russia's Test of Nuclear-Powered Icebreaker Fails As There's Not Enough Arctic Ice to Test It On "State-run news agency Tass said on Monday that Arktika had completed its first voyage, having traveled through approximately 1,030 miles of ice. However, the ice was too thin for the ship's capabilities to be fully tested, Arktika Delivery Team Captain Oleg Shchapin told the agency. "The ice tests are still ahead, probably, this year because now the ice trials did not work with an ice of 1.1 [to] 1.2 meters (3.6 and 3.9 feet) thick. It was thin and loose and the icebreaker did not get any resistance. We tried to find an ice floe three meters (9.8 feet) thick but to no avail," he is quoted as saying."
