I just did a 60 mile trip in my C (of which about 58 miles was highway) at speeds between 55 and 70 in light rain, at night, outside temperature about 40 degrees, with the climate control on Auto set t0 68. I was not attempting to hypermile at all (I seldom do, as my Fuelly number will attest), and at the end of the trip the MFD showed 53.5 mpg, so probably just over 50 mpg in reality. That number is easily attainable in the C without trying at all.
