Powering off without Park

    This condition can be cured through the purchase of a shrubbery. Or through the skillful use of a large herring.

    Mine does too, if I don't put the parking brake on first. It's the parking pawl seating, and the momentum of the engine. It's not good for the transaxle, so it's a habit I have to break. My old car, I just hit the brake, put it into park, and took the key out of the ignition. On the rare instance that I was still moving, it would rock back and forth too.

    Apply the parking brake before releasing the footbrake, then this won't happen.
