    Actually, there's "lots of discussion" about Jesus in some segments of Western culture (a minority) but, overall, in most parts of the world, this is not so.

    Longevity of a legend isn't really enough to prove or disprove it.

    I think it's just evidence that we, as people, have a tendency to shy away from accepting responsibility for our own lives...and instead, prefer to absolve ourselves of the need for decision and place the responsibility on a 'higher' being.
