    I don't think anyone should have an issue with you going highway speeds in the slow lane. Just becomes an issue in the left lane. Nothing worse than a phantom traffic jam on the interstate only to see a slow poke driving next to a truck in the left lane doing 60mp in a 75mph zone...like I used to see in TX on I-35 all of the time.

    I would have a heart attack if I had to drive 55 from L.A. to Phoenix or the Bay area. That would be one life not saved.

    You and me, both. But as you well know, our speed in Southern California is usually dictated by traffic, not by the posted speed limit.
