I bought a PIP a few months ago and it's been pretty good so far. '12 with about 65k km and the battery still seems good - would be happier if I could have got one for €17k :) (limited RHD market, punitive import tax, etc.). I consistently get 2.8 l/100km or better if I'm not doing any long distance driving (charging daily).

You'll still have at least a year warranty from Toyota (IIRC it's 5 years across Europe) and possibly longer warranty on the hybrid system (depends on country/service history). As discussed earlier you'll also have the higher 85 km/h EV speed limit, and I'm not sure what it's like in the rest of Europe but the UK spec PIP is good in terms of equipment (HUD, sat nav, heated front seats, cruise control, etc.). Only real downsides are the lack of spare tyre space and the 15" wheels don't look as nice.
