We still have a few down here as well, even though seat belt laws have been in place in all Australia for over 30 years. And our laws are that everyone in the car has to be wearing one, with children in car seats and babies in baby capsules. Crichman, glad to hear everyone came out without serious injury.
Stupidity isn't exclusive to the northern hemisphere, I booked 2 truck drivers today for not wearing seatbelts.
Glad to hear everyone got out with just minor injuries compared to what could have been. One call thats still in the back of my mind is one on a 2 lane back road. A guy and his girlfriend were in the car and he wasnt wearing a seatbelt when they rearended a semi hauling dirt. He was ejected, taking a part of the steering wheel with him, and she had some forehead and facial injuries. O and he was also DUI which may had something to do with it...
