This couples with my post about my plug and play sportster. I'm trying to decide what to do with the power cord. Can a sattelite radio left plugged into the 12v outlet draw power if the car is turned off? I'm trying to see if I can leave the power cord permantently in the 12v outlet without draining the battery while the car is off. My instinct would be that it wouldn't, but I don't want to find out my instincts are wrong. Does anyone know?
Both outlets in the Prius shut off when the car is turned off. The one on the dash can be modified to be always on if needed. I leave a DVD player plugged in all the time in my car without a problem since there is no drain.
