What type of mileage have others been getting after taking the car in for the recall?? I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Mine comes out of the shop today after a service and I want to know what to look for. Thanks, Firefly
Expect either no change or a temporary one. With memory cleared the car will have to re-learn optimized engine control parameters after you have driven through a couple of tankfuls. If your factors were far from the defaults then it may take that long. If they were close, you might not notice any difference. I'll find out after tomorrow's upgrade on mine.
We had the recall work done a couple of tanks of fuel ago. Our mileage has increased by about 3 mpg! Firefly
