I need new summer tires for my 2007 Touring which I got about three years ago. My current tires are Toyo Versado Eco M+S, and I have been consistently getting in the mid-40s MPG. I'm not looking for all-season tires, because I switch to snow tires in the winter. Any suggestions? Thanks!
It depends of course on your priorities. To maximize fuel economy Michelin Energy Saver A/S are the best, but are a bit more expensive than other tires. Bridgestone ep422 is also popular as it's usually significantly cheaper than the Michelins, but will provide fuel economy only a couple percent lower. If handling and noise are important, than take a look at the tires on Tirerack in the right size, as they thoroughly test handling and braking characteristics.
People don't use, for the most part, "summer tires," anymore. Get a decent set of all-seasons and call it good. Lots of threads on here about tires. Have a go at it.
