Does anyone here have any information on how to remove and replace the rear spoiler on the hatch lid of a 2012 Prius V?

    Thank you

Take the back hatch inside panel off (push pins) and then the spoiler with two or three screws at the top. Then it will have some push pins that will release. There is a gasket strip and a round seal that may tear.

This video repairs a hatchback spoiler. In this case the spoiler was broken off. The v wagon is similar.

I removed one so I could install a camera. I removed the cargo area trim to get to the bolts for the spoiler. Some of those red plastic trim tools from the local autoparts stores work to pop the clips.

Above the rear window there are several bolts, can't remember how many. These need to come out. Also disconnect the third brake light.

Now it gets painful, because there are two plastic clips on the underside that also attach the spoiler to the hatch lid. I couldn't get to them so I worked the spoiler back and forth to get it to pop off. I broke both of those clips. I really don't know a better way. I also didn't source them out for replacement either and just relied on the bolts that hold it on when I reinstalled it. I hear it creaking every time I go through an automatic car wash, but it's been fine otherwise for over two years.
