You know GM. They will use this to sell the Volt. Here is an electric car with range limitation, over here is Volt with a "range extender" for the same price.
Hmmm.. interesting hypothesis. Nightly Business Report made a seemingly totally bogus assertion (below) about why Volt sales seem slow. It came from the transcript of tonight's ep at Chevy Unveils the Spark | Nightly Business Report | PBS. I find it very hard to believe that seemingly slow Volt sales have anything to do w/the lack of public charging infrastructure. As usual, they did it again w/calling the Volt an electric car/vehicle. They did it before as I pointed out at http://priuschat.com/forums/gm-hybrids/92291-cnets-volt-review-5.html#post1300830. I'm going to drop NBR a note when I get a chance try to get them to stop calling the Volt an "electric" vehicle/car.
heh, so lets end this speculation - Volt doesnt sell. Period. We have dealer testify under oath that they dont sell. And that GM is making dealers order some for the lot. Chevy dealer, Republican Congressman: "there is no market" for Chevy Volt
^^ Yeah well, anybody who thought that GM was letting a real customer sit for a YEAR while dealers were given the cars first is wearing rose colored glasses AND is retarded. No customer demand. End of story.
