Update - I ended up with the c-max. I set a deadline for myself to decide by Mon... Wish the replies had come in a bit earlier, as I no idea about the battery or about the tires (the one I test drove had 17" wheels). Didn't seem like the Prius was test driven much, so maybe the extra noisiness was due to the low battery? I don't remember what the bars were for the battery... (Salesman didn't come with me on the test drive, although not sure if he would have known, as the dealership wasn't a Toyota one.) I did try driving in Power mode for a bit, but honestly didn't feel much of a difference to be honest. There are some things I like more on the c-max, so I'm not completely regretful (yet anyway haha)... but I did really love the space of the prius v... That is the one thing I was sad to give up.
